The MDR/PS/5 is designed to provide continuous DC power for a 24V door release magnet system controllable from a fire alarm control panel. Maximum number of units is 5 at 50mA. For automatic release, the power supply requires a signal voltage of 18-30V DC 30mA. Manual release can also be achieved via a set of contacts using, for example via an external timer, in order to shut the doors automatically at a predetermined time.

Dorgard is a device designed to safely hold open a Fire Door and to automatically release the Fire Door when the Fire Alarm sounds. The unit can hold the Fire Door open in any position.
Unlike normal Magnetic Door Retainers the Dorgard unit requires no wiring and is battery operated. Installation is easy, quick and non-disruptive with the unit fitted to the fire door with four screws taking approx 5 minutes to install. When the supplied two 'C' size batteries are inserted the Dorgard unit is fully operational.
The Dorgard unit holds open the Fire Door until a continuous Fire Alarm sound level of over 65 decibels is reached. After approx 14 seconds the unit will then release the Fire Door to close under the pressure of the overhead door closure.
